PROSPERITY IS A RESPONSIBILITY (Part 1 of the Money Mastery Series)

abundance-quoteIf I said that you have a responsibility to be prosperous what would you say? Would you believe me or would you think that I’ve been drinking too much green juice? Well either way if you’re interested in having more prosperity in your life this 4 week Money Mastery blog series will truly bless you! Not only will you learn why receiving fabulous money is a profound part of your spiritual path as a Kingdom Heir/Heiress, together we’ll breakthrough lots of “money blocks”.

It seems like only yesterday that I was coming out of my “Cocoon Experience”. I was overcoming a blood illness, the loss of 2 businesses, the loss of our apartment and my husband’s job with the Board of Education. We were broke! There was no job, no steady business income, no checks from the city or state! We did have bills and debt. I also needed to eat only organic food in order to continue healing. Thank God we had years of teachings on prosperity mindset, faith and the law of sowing & reaping. Even though we barely had any income, those principles enabled us to live a life that was nothing short of miraculous!

I became so used to living on “Miracle Money” that I lost my ability to flex my “Money Muscles”. Then I read something my spiritual dad Kenneth Copeland wrote that jerked the slack and the lack out of me. He said that “financial prosperity is not simply a luxury, it is a responsibility!” I knew then that I had to completely reprogram my thoughts, actions and feelings around money and that wasn’t easy!

It was the year I began Sharing The Bliss. The issue was everything I knew about business was   shifting as the internet was kicking into full throttle. I spent 16 hours every day creating the transformational programs for my business, while studying this new way of marketing.

I finally got responsible and made an “all or nothing” NMW (No Matter What) decision to do what it took to bring in income from my business. When I made that decision, I knew I couldn’t do it alone so I carefully sought out mentors: women who were wildly successful in their heart-centered service-based businesses while enjoying the time, money and freedom to travel the world.

I made a careful study of their beliefs, thoughts and habits. After sorting out the unscriptural I began adopting much of their way of doing business as my own. Sometimes it was really hard to shift the old patterns! Yet, slowly but surely, my mind, business and life started to change. I filled two 28-Day Body & Soul Detox church programs and wrote a proposal that landed me my first $5,000 sponsor.

Now, I’m blessed to run a business of bliss that serves phenomenal women from all over the world. I love my life, which includes plenty of quality time off with my wonderful husband. My business and its outreach missions are a true expression of my life’s purpose. The thing is the journey of creating this freedom-based lifestyle entirely from scratch didn’t happen until I broke through my OWN money-blocking wall, questioning every spiritual and practical belief I held about money. I urge you to do the same because what’s on the OTHER SIDE of that wall is the true you, that heiress/heir who’s totally aligned with wealth!

Most of us know that it’s been our beliefs about money that has driven our actions, which has lead us to where we are today financially. What I’ve found is that in order to change those beliefs there needs to be a renewing of our minds about money. This means that we must also become discriminating about what we let into our thoughts because what we think about we bring about! This is exactly why I’ve created this program for you (and me).

Let’s began with an important question… What Is Prosperity and Is It Godly?

The Greek word for prosper means:

  • to grant a prosperous and expeditious journey, to  lead by a direct and easy way
  • to grant a successful issue, to cause to prosper
  • to be successful

The dictionary definition of prosperity is a successful, flourishing and thriving condition especially in financial respects. It’s also defined as having good fortune.

The answer is YES! Regardless to what you’ve been taught, Prosperity is Godly! God wants us to prosper, in fact He created us to live a prosperous life. Psalm 35:27 says, “Let the Lord be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”

Traditionally the church has looked down upon prosperity even though the bible speaks more about it being our birthright than just about any other subject. I believe this has much to do with the few scriptures that seem to speak against it, as well as old beliefs that have been passed down for generations. I know that 1 Timothy 6:10 was a big stopper and blocker for me. “The love of money is the root of all evil.” I finally flat-out asked God to give me the revelation I needed to settle my soul and get out of money-incongruences. He first had me revisit 1 Timothy 6:10. I realized that it is usually misquoted to read “money is the root of all evil”. Removing the word love makes a big difference. Secondly the Holy Spirit told me to exchange the word love for lust in the scripture. I learned that lust is a perverted version of love. It’s love without God. There are probably more people without money committing the sin of “money lust” than people with money. I mean just think about all the people without money who are lusting after it rather than seeking God for it. I know I was one of those people for the first half of my life.

There is no question about it! God wants us to prosper but it’s our responsibility to renew our minds so that we can do so. 1 John 3: 2prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers”.

Much love,
Coach Carmen

New Traditions

Hello Beloved,

How was your Thanksgiving beloved? I pray that it was everything you wanted it to be!

Anthony and I were blessed to have two of my sister Pam’s girls over along with my sister Darlene’s husband and son. Admittedly the holidays will never be the same now that my sisters and our two brothers are celebrating in heaven. I’m grateful however that rather than focusing on the way things were we are creating new traditions. One of them is having organic vegetarian/vegan holidays at our home here on Staten Island. In addition to family, joining us around the table on Thursday was my niece Rachel’s boyfriend Rudy seated next to Zai (our spiritual God daughter) and my sista-friend and Outreach Missions Manager Tanisha seated across from Zai.

Dinner began with lentil & barley soup then salad with Coach Carmen’s Asian Dressing. The main course was “rib tips”, basmati rice & peas, sautéed veggies with caramelized ginger/maple carrots, stuffing and macaroni & cheese which was made by my niece Anwar for tradition’s sake!

Much love,
